The numbers you type
Every calculator on FreeByte runs in your browser. The figures you enter are not sent to us, are not stored on a server, and are not attached to any profile. If you copy a result link, the values travel inside that URL because you chose to share it.
Your recently used tools, your language choice and your light or dark preference are saved in your own browser storage so the site remembers them on your next visit. Clearing your browser data removes them.
What you send us on purpose
If you submit a tool request or report an inaccurate result, we store what you typed in that form, including an email address if you provide one, so we can reply and fix the problem. We use it for that purpose only, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to hello@freebyte.dev.
Cookies and advertising
FreeByte is free to use and is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense to show ads on this site.
- · Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
- · Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the internet.
- · You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, and you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
- · Where required by law, visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are set, and may withdraw that consent at any time.
You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services in Google's own privacy and terms pages. policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Children
FreeByte is written for adults making household and business money decisions. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. Because we hold almost nothing, most requests are answered in a sentence. Write to hello@freebyte.dev and we will respond.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
